New sewage digestion contract in Jordan

CNP has received an order to design and build a digestion plant for the North Aqaba wastewater treatment plant in Jordan

The client is the Jordanian construction company ATCCO, which is carrying out the construction of the complete wastewater treatment. An important criterion for awarding the contract was overall cost-effectiveness, considering investment and operating costs. In addition, the customer explicitly required design and supply of equipment made in Germany.

The scope of supply includes the inhouse digestion process type Roediger® with two fully equipped digestors of 4.500 m³ each, a complete biogas treatment line, one biogas storage of 500 m³ and three CHPs each with 311 kW electricity capacity.

The Roediger® digester was developed in the 1970. by Prof. Hanns Roediger, applied in more than 500 plants worldwide and continuously developed into the sewage sludge digestion process with the highest efficiency. An outstanding feature is the robust and very effective mixing with the help of biogas injection.

CNP’s experience and high level of expertise gave the client a high degree of planning security for the operation phase.
